The Jaguar XJ-S endured a troubled life in many ways due to the fact that it had to follow on from the E-Type. A tall order for any car, especially as it looked so different, which was possibly a brave move on Jaguar’s part. Now, the XJ-S is very much coming into its own world and becoming very desirable in every way, as it should be. The prices some are achieving is testament to this, and good examples, like this one, are commanding higher and higher prices so now may be the best time to buy.

A nice genuine XJ-S convertible that is very well specified and ready to be enjoyed. The Jaguar has spent much of its life in Germany, only being imported back to the UK in 2020, hence a lot of paperwork is in German. It has been subject to extensive work carried in Germany to the sum of €12,254 over a four-year period, which included engine, brake and power steering overhauls. It is supplied with Jaguar owner’s handbook, V5 and an array of invoices. The XJ-S offers luxury and performance in abundance and this very rare colour combination makes it stand out from the crowd. In the metal, you can appreciate how well the colour works as it is quite a unique looking example making it a rare find especially in this condition.

The specification and work carried out includes:

“Finished in Glacier white with contrasting brown leather
Cruise control, electric windows and trip computer all equipped from factory
Supplied with hood cover and fitted with an aftermarket Kenwood radio
Power steering overhaul, ABS hydraulic system flushed, vented and refilled, all new heating and coolant hoses replaced, amongst other work carried out in 2018 to the sum of €2,982
Full brake overhaul carried out in 2014 to the sum of €1,581
Engine compression test and engine work carried out in 2016 to the sum of €4,425”

The XJ-S Convertible is becoming very rare and iconic now and prices are beginning to climb for the right example. With a good mileage, nice history and a great colour combination, this may just be the one for you so time some time to appreciate it and see what you think.
